The context
Hotel L'Esagono is a 3-star on the bay of Cala d'Ambra, in San Teodoro, open since 1969. Lépia Spa has a sauna, a Turkish bath, emotional showers, a whirlpool also outdoors and massage cabins, some of them for couples. It works with hotel guests and outside clients, from mid-April to the end of October.
Until June 2026 the spa used a fixed price list on two levels, one for outside clients and a discounted one for guests. The same treatment cost the same on a Tuesday morning in September and on a Saturday afternoon in August. Demand was uneven: a few very full days and many days with few sales.
The solution
From 1 July 2026 the spa uses Revwell for two things: dynamic prices on treatments and online booking. The price follows demand and outside clients can book without going through reception.
The change showed at once. From 2 July each treatment has on average almost five price levels, against one or two on the previous list.
More outside clients
Revenue from outside clients: +83% in July and +88% in August versus 2025
The strongest growth comes in the high-season months, when demand from outside is higher.
Couples massage and premium treatments
The Lux Massage group, led by the couples massage, is the segment that grows the most: its revenue is more than eight times that of 2025. 88% of couples-massage revenue comes from outside clients.
Weight in spa revenue, 1 July–5 October 2025 and 2026
The Water Area (+33%) and face treatments (+35%) also grow.
Stronger weak days, prices that follow demand
The days with the fewest requests are the ones that improve the most: their takings grow by 57%, against 12% for the median day. It is the behaviour you expect from a price that adapts to demand.
At moments of high demand the price rises above the old list:
- Sportivo decontratturante up to 6% more;
- Sensoriale Relax up to 29% more;
- couples massage up to 29% more.
The average price collected for Sensoriale Relax rises by 6%.
The next phase
After outside clients, the next goal is to bring the same growth among hotel guests. The levers proposed:
- slots reserved for guests at peak times;
- an explicit guest price inside Revwell;
- measuring cabin occupancy and revenue per available hour.
Note on the data
The data come from the hotel's management system, extracted on 5 October 2026. The comparison is between 1 July–5 October 2026 and the same dates in 2025; changes are calculated on amounts including VAT. All spa sales are included, excluding voided receipts; "outside clients" are sales not charged to a hotel room.
